"Attempting To Move My Household Dryer"

In the Ryan household, Edith thought she had something

better than most households, she had a washer/dryer

combination, the kind that does two jobs at the same time.

She loved the weekly chore until her dryer went on the

fritz. At times she got so mad at the way her dryer was

grunting and groaning every week.

It got so bad that she called the mechanic three times and

each time it cost her fifty dollars a pop.  At one point she wondered is the washer was telling the dryer that they should take turns grunting and groaning each week just to give Edith a hard time.

Sure enough, every week Edith was getting so mad that her

dryer wouldn't perform to her expectations that she took out

her temper and kicked he performer for not being up to

snuff. She kicked and cursed every week thinking that her

dryer was deliberately not doing the job it was made for.

Enough was enough, after Edith got hit with 240 volts from

her dryer she decided to buy a new one. She went to the appliance store and was impressed with a new machine the salesman showed her. Then she asked him if he took trade-ins.

"Well," said the salesman, "How old is your present machine?"

Edith said, "He'll be seventy on his next birthday."
